Polyroof Approved Installer - London & South East

BBA-Certified Cold Applied Liquid Roofing — Installed by Trained Specialists

DL Jones Roofing Services is a Polyroof approved installer, delivering cold-applied liquid flat roofing systems across London and the South East since 1987. Based in South Croydon, our Polyroof-trained teams work daily across London, Surrey, Kent, Sussex, and Essex – installing Polyroof systems on schools, hospitals, housing association blocks, local authority buildings, and commercial and residential properties of all sizes.

Polyroof’s cold-applied liquid systems are the preferred choice when hot works are not an option: occupied school buildings, live hospital environments, sensitive residential sites, and roofs with complex shapes or penetrations where a membrane would be difficult to detail correctly. As a Polyroof approved installer, every system we apply qualifies for the full manufacturer-backed guarantee of up to 25 years – and is delivered to Polyroof’s own quality standards, with BBA certification on all qualifying systems.

Why Choose Polyroof?

Polyroof systems are renowned for their seamless finish, exceptional durability, and adaptability. Whether your project demands high performance in tight areas or full overlay systems with zero disruption, Polyroof delivers.

Key advantages include:

  • BBA-approved systems with lifespans up to 30 years
  • Seamless and joint-free waterproofing
  • Cold-applied (no hot works required)
  • Suitable for all roof shapes and sizes
  • Rapid curing – ideal for fast-track programmes
  • Overlay options for cost-effective refurbishment
  • Excellent fire performance ratings

Polyroof’s BBA certification is the key independent validation that clients – particularly local authorities, housing associations, and NHS trusts – rely on for procurement confidence. Unlike torch-applied systems, Polyroof’s cold-applied liquid technology creates a seamless, joint-free membrane that conforms to any roof shape, eliminating the failure points at laps and joints that cause most flat roof leaks.

The rapid-cure formulation allows same-day waterproofing – critical on projects with short access windows such as school holiday installations, hospital out-of-hours works, or occupied residential buildings where the programme must be completed between tenancies. As a Polyroof approved installer, DL Jones carries professional indemnity and public liability insurance at the levels required by public sector procurement frameworks, and all installations are delivered to Polyroof’s technical specification with full documentation at handover.

Who We Install Polyroof Systems For

DL Jones installs Polyroof systems for a wide range of clients across the public, commercial, and residential sectors. Polyroof’s cold-applied, flame-free characteristics make it particularly well-matched to certain client types and environments:

Domestic and residential – for homeowners, property developers, and landlords requiring a long-life, guaranteed waterproofing solution on flat roof extensions, dormers, and garages

Not Sure Whether Polyroof or Bauder Is Right for Your Building?

DL Jones is an approved installer of both Polyroof and Bauder roofing systems – which puts us in a rare position: we can give you an honest, unbiased recommendation based on your building’s specific requirements, rather than defaulting to whichever product we happen to stock.

As a general guide: Polyroof cold-applied liquid systems are typically the better choice for occupied buildings requiring flame-free installation, roofs with complex shapes or penetrations, overlay refurbishments where strip-off is to be avoided, and projects where rapid-cure waterproofing is essential. Bauder bitumen and single ply systems are typically preferred for larger, simpler roof areas on public sector buildings where a named-system membrane specification is required by the client or procurement framework.

If you are unsure which system is right for your project, our team will carry out a roof condition survey and give you a clear, honest recommendation. See our Bauder Roofing Systems page for a full overview of the Bauder range, or call 020 8657 0734 to discuss your project directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Polyroof cold-applied special?

Three things separate Polyroof cold-applied liquid systems from torch-applied or mechanical-fix membrane alternatives. First, the absence of hot works: no naked flame means Polyroof can be installed on occupied schools, hospitals, and residential buildings where fire risk from hot works is simply not acceptable. Second, the seamless, joint-free finish: because Polyroof is applied as a liquid that cures in place, it creates a continuous monolithic membrane with no laps, joints, or seams – eliminating the most common failure points in traditional flat roofing. Third, rapid cure: the system achieves initial waterproofing within hours of application, meaning buildings are weatherproof again the same day – critical on occupied or sensitive sites where extended exposure cannot be tolerated.

Yes – and overlay refurbishment is one of the most commercially valuable applications of Polyroof systems. Provided the existing substrate is structurally sound and free from excessive moisture, Polyroof Protec and 185 systems can be applied directly over felt, asphalt, concrete, screed, and many other surfaces without the need for strip-off and disposal. This typically saves 30 to 50 per cent compared with a full strip-and-replace, eliminates landfill disposal costs and environmental impact, and significantly shortens the installation programme.

Before specifying an overlay, we carry out a thorough roof condition survey – including moisture testing of the existing substrate – to confirm suitability. If the existing covering is too wet or structurally compromised, we will tell you honestly that a full replacement is the right approach. We never recommend an overlay where a replacement is genuinely needed

It’s ideal for intricate roofs, balcony waterproofing, areas with penetrations, or sites prohibiting hot works.
They’re BBA certified for 25–30 years, with rapid curing times enabling same-day waterproofing.
Definitely – it’s ideal for flame-free upgrades in live environments like schools, hospitals, and residential blocks.
